Description: Senior AI Architect
As the Senior AI Architect, working alongside our CTO, you will be our technical visionary that will help us deliver on our AI strategy.
You will help bridge the gap between complex MLOps and tangible business outcomes, leveraging the full power of Google Vertex AI and Gemini.
Responsibilities
- RAG & Knowledge Engineering: Design and implement enterprise-grade Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Vertex AI Vector Search and AlloyDB for semantic data retrieval.
- Future-Proofing: Define the roadmap for moving from "Copilots" to "Sovereign Agents" that can execute end-to-end business logic with minimal oversight.
- Model Orchestration: Manage the lifecycle of Gemini 2.0/3.0 models, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA), and model distillation for edge deployment.
- LLMOps Leadership: Establish robust CI/CD/CT (Continuous Testing) pipelines using Vertex AI Pipelines and Cloud Build to ensure model reliability and safety.
- Data Synthesis: Oversee the integration of BigQuery ML and Looker to turn raw data into actionable AI insights.
- Responsible AI: Implement Gemini Safety Filters and enterprise guardrails to mitigate bias, hallucinations, and data leakage.
- Compliance Alignment: Ensure all AI architectures meet SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 standards, specifically regarding data residency and "Zero-Trust" AI interactions.
Expertise
- Compute & Containers: Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.
- AI & Machine Learning: Vertex AI (Model Garden, Training, Pipelines), Google AI Studio, and AutoML.
- Data & Storage: BigQuery (Vector Indexing), AlloyDB, Cloud SQL, and Vertex AI Vector Search.
- Orchestration: LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Google’s Agent Development Kit.
- Monitoring: LangSmith or Weights & Biases integrated with Google Cloud Monitoring.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years in Software Engineering, with at least 5 years specialized in AI/ML and 2+ years specifically in Generative AI architecture.
- Education: Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent "Proof of Work" in open-source AI).
- Certifications: Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer (Essential) or Professional Cloud Architect.
- Pioneer Mindset: Proven experience building in the "Zero-to-One" phase. You should have a GitHub or HuggingFace profile demonstrating contributions to the AI community.
