Automotive Engineering & Python Expert - Freelance AI Trainer
Mindrift offers remote, project-based participation for automotive engineering specialists to help test, evaluate, and improve AI systems for leading tech companies. Contributors may design real-world engineering problems, assess AI-generated solutions, and validate analytical results using Python. Weekly commitment during active projects is estimated at 10–20 hours, compensated up to $40 per hour. Participation is not permanent employment and workload may vary by project.
Ideal candidates hold a degree in Automotive or related Engineering fields, have 3+ years of industry experience, and are proficient in Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas). Strong written English (C1/C2) and a reliable internet connection are essential. Certifications like PE, CEng, or PMP, and experience in industry or international projects are advantages.

- Design graduate- and industry-level automotive engineering problems grounded in real practice;
- Evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, assumptions, and engineering logic;

- Improve AI reasoning to align with first principles and accepted engineering standards;

What we look for
This opportunity is a good fit for automotive engineers with an experience in python open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideally, contributors will have:
- Degree in Automotive Engineering or related fields, e.g. Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.
- 3+ years of professional automotive engineering experience
- Strong written English (C1/C2)
- Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation
- Stable internet connection
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) and experience in international or applied projects are an advantage.
