ABOUT THE ROLE
As we enter our next stage of growth, RootstockLabs is seeking a proactive Web3 Developer Advocate to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced Web3 developer with a passion for engaging with developer communities, creating educational content, and providing technical support. You will act as a bridge between developers and our platform, contributing to the growth of the Rootstock ecosystem and the adoption of decentralized technologies. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with blockchain experts and like-minded ‘Rooties’ in a cutting-edge environment. This is a remote role with flexibility to work from Asia, requiring hands-on experience with Web3 technologies, proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Solidity, and excellent communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developer Support: Provide hands-on technical support to developers, gaining autonomy in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Community Engagement: Promote and advocate for our platform within developer communities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Educational Content Creation: Create blogs, videos, tutorials, and other content focused on Web3 development and ecosystem trends.
- Hackathon Participation: Represent Rootstock at hackathons, offering support to participants and showcasing our platform’s features.
- Technical Documentation: Collaborate with engineers and tech writers to produce clear, high-quality documentation for developers.
- Web3 Development: Develop decentralized applications (dApps) using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or React.
- Webinars and Workshops: Host live coding sessions, workshops, and webinars to highlight product features and best practices.
- Advocacy: Act as a liaison between the developer community and internal teams, providing valuable feedback for product improvements.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about Web3 trends and emerging technologies, ensuring timely, relevant content.
- Social Media Presence: Engage in content creation across social platforms to highlight solutions and developer tools.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Web3 programming languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, and Solidity, with hands-on experience building dApps.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve developer issues, offering valuable technical guidance.
- Community Engagement: Passion for working with developer communities, fostering collaboration and communication.
- Content Creation Skills: Demonstrated ability to create high-quality written, video, and live presentation content to educate and support developers.
- Adaptability: Quick learner with a tech-savvy approach, eager to adapt to new tools and systems.
- Collaboration: Fluent in English with strong communication skills; Spanish is a valuable plus.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build strong connections with community leaders, influencers, and partners in the Web3 space.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying informed about ecosystem trends and sharing insights that enhance product and community improvements.
