Freelance Mechanical Engineering & Python Expert - AI Trainer
Mindrift offers remote, project-based opportunities for mechanical engineers to contribute to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems for leading technology companies. Participants engage in tasks such as designing graduate-level engineering problems, validating AI-generated solutions, and providing analytical checks using Python. Engagements are on a flexible, non-permanent basis, requiring an estimated 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, with compensation up to $40/hour based on expertise, project, and assessment results.
Ideal candidates have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, at least three years of professional experience, and advanced written English proficiency (C1/C2). Strong skills in Python (especially libraries like NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas) are essential. Professional certifications and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous. Reliable internet is required.

What this opportunity involves
While each project involves unique tasks, contributors may:

What we look for
This opportunity is a good fit for mechanical engineers with an experience in python open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideally, contributors will have:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, e.g. Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Design, Computational Mechanics, etc.
- 3+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience
- Strong written English (C1/C2)
- Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation
- Stable internet connection
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) and experience in international or applied projects are an advantage.
