Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring products and components consistently meet company's quality specifications and requirements by closely monitoring the production processes and quality performance of products, suppliers and subcontractors. The role involves liaising with other quality pillars within DJAPO and DOREL’s Juvenile Global Markets to support product development.

Responsibilities

  • Work proactively with performance results to ensure supplier quality compliance and drive continuous quality improvement for Dorel Juvenile Global Markets
  • Perform pre-shipment inspection to ensure Nursery furniture products and components meet Dorel Juvenile Quality Requirements
  • Perform In-Process Audit/Inspection based on the designated inspection sampling plan, AQL levels, relevant product specifications, and quality requirements
  • Handle product and process non-conformance by following NCR/CAR procedure to work with vendors and other pillars within DJAPO on root cause identification, Corrective and Preventive actions (CAP) driving, approval, and implementation verification
  • Verify implementation of product changes such as ECN in accordance with agreed timeframes
  • Provide support to DJAPO Engineering and Suppliers for the development and implementation of process improvements
  • Teach and drive supplier Part Production Approval Process (PPAP) compliance
  • Conduct NPD control plan audit on time
  • Conduct supplier/sub-contractors’ factory audits based on Dorel Process Audit Checklist
  • Support product development work as needed

Qualifications

  • College degree or above, Technical-related major is preferred
  • Must have experience with furniture products; Familiarity with nursery or other related furniture, play yard, wood products is a plus
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a Quality-related field
