Qlay Technologies, Inc. is a global technology solutions provider with offices located in San Francisco and Tokyo. We are seeking to hire a Senior Back-End Developer that we can outsource to one of our clients, a cutting-edge technology Japanese start-up providing a suite of AI-powered productivity tools to optimize business processes, enhance employee engagement, and significantly improve corporate productivity.

Expectation for the role

As a Senior Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing the core backend systems for AI-powered productivity tools.
• Implementing efficient APIs that integrate with advanced AI algorithms.
• Building scalable microservices architectures and developing large-scale data processing systems.
• Conducting code reviews, providing technical leadership within the team, and collaborating closely with the AI development team.

Must Have Requirements:

• Graduated from a top Vietnamese university (FPT, HCMUT, HCMUS, HUST, UIT, etc.) and/or top university around the world.
• Language: Working-level proficiency in English
• 7+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and Python.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Solid understanding of database systems (both SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Understanding of responsive design principles & cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Curious, autonomous, and constantly staying up-to-date in your field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Nice to have:

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Experience with serverless architecture and AWS Lambda.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka).
• Experience with performance optimization and scalability.
• Contributions to open-source projects.

Monthly Salary Range

1,300 - 2,900 USD Gross/Month

Benefits:

• Paid Vacations: 12 days per year
• Annual Bonus: 1-month salary

Note

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, but it will be structured as contractor work.

Devices: You will be expected to use your own computer to perform the work.
