Shopify Web Developer (Project Based)

Substance is looking for a talented Shopify Web Developer to join our team on a project-based basis. This exciting role involves designing, building, and maintaining custom Shopify stores that align with our clients’ business objectives and provide exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize Shopify themes based on client specifications, ensuring they meet branding and functional requirements.
• Integrate third-party applications and services to enhance the functionality of Shopify stores.
• Implement SEO best practices across all web pages to ensure high visibility within search engines.
• Manage and troubleshoot existing Shopify installations, providing ongoing support and solutions for clients.
• Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to create intuitive navigation and user-friendly interfaces.
• Conduct testing and optimization to ensure high performance and responsiveness on all devices.
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify updates, tools, and industry trends to provide innovative solutions for clients.

• Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Shopify development, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
• Proficiency in front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templating language.
• Experience customizing and integrating Shopify themes and apps to enhance user experience.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, especially in relation to UI/UX design.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and tools to optimize Shopify sites.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
