Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and maintaining our Shopify ecommerce site. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy software features and functionality for our Shopify ecommerce site
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, and Liquid
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, best practices, and industry trends
• Implement and maintain integrations with third-party services and APIs
• Optimize site performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployments and monitoring

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on ecommerce and web development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Ruby, and Liquid
• Experience with React, Node.js, and GraphQL
• Experience with Shopify development, including theme development, app development, and API integrations
• Familiarity with Shopify's ecosystem, including Shopify Plus and Shopify Payments
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Strong understanding of software development principles, patterns, and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of database design and development
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies
• Certification in Shopify development or a related field
