About the role
At Rotate Digital, a Website Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing websites to maximize their visibility and ranking on search engines. This role combines web development skills with the ability to work closely with SEO specialists to create websites that drive organic traffic and deliver superior user experiences. The website developer will also be responsible for continual updates and optimization of client websites. This is a remote position and will require a website developer that is disciplined in time management and self-driven!
This is a remote role with flexible working hours. You are free to work when you choose but we ask all employees outside of the USA to be available for communication and ready for last-minute urgent requests/meetings when necessary at any time between 9 am - 3 pm US Eastern time.
People who are a good fit for this role...
- Are fully comfortable with custom development in the Wordpress ecosystem (aka not dependent on page builders)
- Have experience with Twig Template Engine & Timber engines
- Able to integrate various CRMs, chat features, and other tools into clients' websites without jeopardizing the performance and loading speed of the website

Duties
Core activities or tasks to be performed daily, weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly
- Website Development: Develop, maintain, and enhance websites and web applications, ensuring they are responsive, user-friendly, and aligned with Rotate Digital website development standards and best practices.
- Website Maintenance: Complete ad-hoc requests and optimizations for live websites to ensure client satisfaction and quality website performance.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce testing processes, including unit testing and code reviews, to maintain code quality and security.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and trends, and share knowledge with the team to drive innovation.
- Collaborative Department Development: We have a strong team of developers who like to tackle projects, improve processes, and better the quality of our websites together.
- Time-Tracking: Time spent on all tasks, projects, and builds needs to be tracked in order to help provide clarity to resources spent on projects/clients and to help management better understand project workload and capacity.
- Cross-Department Communication: Clearly communicate with fellow team members from other departments. Questions are responded to within 24 hours, and any tasks assigned are acknowledged within 24 hours and if there is a conflict of time constraint, then this is communicated upfront.

- Salary: This role will be salaried at $1,400-$3,000 (depending on experience) with a review of the salary structure, bonus opportunities, and all other pay factors after 6 months.
